Strategy:

Top Funnel = Exploratory Campaigns to proven demographics / Keywords

Target known demographics (sourced through analytics), test markets, leverage past experience with similar brands in this space, multiply spend on most successful campaigns to build audiences.


Middle Funnel = Retargeting with educational blogs / video

Tackle education component for people who have already been introduced to the brand (website visitors, 10 second video viewer, or Facebook engager). Useful content = survival tips, how to get out of X situation, when a VSSL really comes in handy, non-survival applications to show how to use products, trip reports, etc)


Bottom Funnel = Dynamic Retargeting / Supercut

Retarget abandoned carts with product that was in cart, retarget audiences with epic jealousy inducing video, retarget with dynamic ads testing sets of copy + different photo assets. Retarget with automated email (incentive if you are comfortable with it). We can also leverage sequential re-targeting (depending on ad spend), this is a way to retarget certain users on a time delay after certain goals are fulfilled (day after first visit send a blog post, a week later send a jealousy inducing video, day after abandoned cart send a discount, etc)
